Jay Z and Beyonce–the closest thing to American royalty-looking stars in a new Tiffany & Co. campaign called About Love–are looking regal (and very HOT).
Mason Poole took the photos of Beyonce in luxury jewelers campaign. The black gowns she wears are an iconic, modern interpretation of the one Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Beyonce also wears mesh gloves with a hairstyle that is similar to Holly Golightly’s, but more relaxed for 2021.
The couple are also photographed in front a Tiffany Blue painting, Equals Pi, by Jean-Michel Basquiat. This is a rare opportunity to experience luxury. Important: This is also the first time Jay-Z and Beyonce have appeared together in a campaign, despite their numerous successful collaborations since 2003’s “Crazy In Love”.
This campaign is also a significant moment in fashion history. The Tiffany diamond weighs 128.54 Carats and is worn by Beyonce. The diamond was discovered in 1877 and has been worn only by three women since then: Lady Gaga, Audrey Hepburn, Mary Whitehouse, and Edwin Sheldon Whitehouse, American diplomat. Beyonce is the first Black woman who has worn it. The diamond is also used in an advertisement campaign for the first time.
According to the release, Alexandre Arnault (Tiffany executive vice president of product & communications) said that JAY-Z and Beyonce are “the epitome” of modern love stories. Tiffany has been synonymous with love, strength, and self-expression for so many years. We couldn’t think of a better couple to represent our brand values.
The About Love campaign will feature photos as well as a Jay Z film with a cover song of “Moon River” by Beyonce. Official launch is in September.
